To the Editor and our community,
I recently read that there will be a world wide event on May 5, 2012 called the Climate Impacts Day. It will start in the Marshall Island in the South Pacific and throughout the day other communities around the world will tell their impact story. It will be recorded and shared as it happens. I also heard the U.N. just released a 593 pages report on climate change and weather extremes that have occurred world wide recently. The goal of Climate Impacts Day is to touch many and bring awareness, even hope. Our community could be a part of this event because of the thousand year flood we had in May 2010. Would anyone beside me be interested in being a part of this day….?
