Saturday’s Dine and Dance at the Depot event at the Pegram community Club was a big hit, and attendees helped raise money to cover expenses necessary before their recently donated roof can be installed.
Commissioner John Haines served 200 spaghetti dinners and Gretchen May and her Fiddle & Pick Contra-Band played for 2 hours of contra dancing. All food and music for the event were donated.
Pegram Community Club is receiving a gift of labor and roofing materials from Universal Builder’s to re-roof its Pegram Station depot, but the club must come up with about $2500 to pay for roof decking. Dine & Dance attendees contributed $550 to the Community Club’s roofing fund.
