The annual Special Olympics event was another huge success. All athletes, volunteers, mentors, teachers/assistants and audience had a great time. Athletes participated in track, field, bocce, and even powerlifting events this year with lots of gold medals won. Athletes were all very proud of whatever medal they won and loved to show them off. Everyone especially loved the dancing during our lunch break. What a wonderful day!!! The concession stand made a whopping $215.00 for Special Olympics. A big thank you goes out to Julia Jones, Matt Hughes, Matthew Copeland, Annie Knobel, Kayd Ayres and Jacob Ayres who were instrumental in planning and organizing this years events. We are already looking forward to next years events.
