For those who elect to shoot fireworks, you should be aware that you can be held liable for any damage you impose to other people’s property. Plan your fireworks to stay on your own property. Also, fireworks are not permitted on any park property at any time.
The second of three, Movies in the Park will occur on Saturday, July 21st at City Park in Kingston Springs. The movie starts at dark. There are inflatable playgrounds for the kids set up prior to the movie at 7. Concessions are available. There is no charge to attend. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair, leave the pets at home. This month’s movie will be the animated Disney movie, Cars 2. Heritage Bank is this month’s movie sponsor. The final Movie in the Park for the season will be on September 15th.
Fall Soccer registration is underway through the month of July. Registration forms can be found on the city website at www.kingstonsprings.net or you can get them at City Hall. Call Parks Director Brandy Miniat at 952-9885 if you need additional information.

There is a lovely view of the Burns Park pond from the back patio of the new Community Activity Center in Kingston Springs.

There are large rooms and small rooms that will suit a large variety of purposes for the community. There’s even a large back patio for outdoor functions.
We now have rental information available for the Activity Center which will open in September. This facility will hold 100 guests seated at tables. The patio will hold an additional 50 guests seated at tables. There are also classrooms available for rental. Call City Hall at 952-2110, ext. 22 or 15 for more information. If you are planning a holiday, wedding, or reunion event now, remember that this facility will be available.
