The first “West 70 Arts Cruise” will take place on Saturday, July 21st from 9am-2pm at the Harpeth Art Center & Gallery, home of Mud Puddle Pottery Studio at 462 Highway 70 in Pegram. Several artists will be set up under tents, while other artists will be represented inside of the art center gallery. The West 70 Arts Cruise will take place every third Saturday of the month, year round, extending the hours during cooler weather. The fall and spring art fairs will include special events such as a Night Crawl, with food and arts until dusk.
Located just down the road in Pegram is the ideal place for middle Tennesseans to develop an arts magnet. Organizers would like to encourage their community to support the artists and “buy local products” and help them pass the word about the events. Local farmers and growers will also participate, offering homegrown fruits and vegetables grown right here in our area. Participants will offer handmade arts, homemade products and homegrown produce. As the events grow, the goal will be to incorporate live music, art demonstrations and entertainment. There will be something from everyone, such as pottery, jewelry, paintings, produce, glass, photography, candles, lotions and soaps, and so much more.
Area artists are encouraged to contact the Harpeth Art Center and Gallery regarding future participation in the events at www.HarpethArtCenter.com or 615-646-6644.
