The Town of Kingston Springs, Tennessee will again be sponsoring ART IN THE PARK at the L.L. Burns Parks in Kingston Springs on Saturday, October 6th from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
As always this event will showcase artists, artisans and musicians in a fabulous outdoor venue along the Harpeth River. Plan now to come stroll the trail of artists and artisans and view their art selections entered in competition. Many of the competitive pieces will be available for sale, along with other pieces offered by the artists. Attendees will be able to vote on a “People’s Choice” award. A board of judges will determine all other awards. Cash awards will be given to winners. Live music will be performed between 11:00 and 5:00. Other members of the art community will also be on hand to do demonstrations of artistic processes and techniques. There is no admission or parking charge, and there is no booth fee or commission charged to any participating artist or artisan. All art or crafts for sale or display must be handmade by the artist.
Artists wishing to participate can receive application information by contacting Kingston Springs City Hall at 952-2110, ext. 10 or ext. 15. Deadline for receipt of applications is 4:00 p.m., Friday, September 21st. Participation is open to all areas and ages 14 and up.
This year all of the competitive art will be displayed indoors at the new Activity Center instead of the large tent.
