Harpeth’s Ethan Hurt named to the Roster of Mid Atlantic Baseball Team


Mid-Atlantic NTIS Team Rosters Announced: Players One Step Closer To Being Selected For 2012 National Team Trials

CHARLOTTE, NC— The USA Baseball Mid-Atlantic National Team Identification Series (NTIS) Team is pleased to announce this year’s Rosters. The NTIS staff held multiple evaluation events throughout the region’s six states (NC, SC, TN, GA, AL, MS) and has assembled teams at the 16U and 17U age groups. Ethan Hurt, of Pegram, TN has been selected to represent the Mid-Atlantic region at the National Training Complex, August 23-26. “We are very excited about the teams at each group”, said Jeff Schaefer, Mid-Atlantic NTIS Regional Director. Schaefer added, “After evaluating over 300 players in our region we believe we have found the cream of the crop and are looking forward to showing everyone what baseball in our region is all about.”

Team Mid-Atlantic will travel to Cary, NC on August 23rd to compete in the 2012 USA Baseball NTIS. Teams at the 17U and 16U age groups will play a total of three nine-inning games. USA Baseball will name a minimum of eight players to the 2013 18U National Team Trials (18U); as well as, a minimum of eight players to the 2013 17U National Team Development Program.
