News from City Hall, Kingston Springs: 9-2-12

We inadvertently left out the name of this month’s movie in last week’s article. The movie on September 15th is HAPPY FEET 2. Free admission and free popcorn. Concessions and bouncy houses open at 6:30. Movie starts at 8. No pets please. Shown at City Park in Kingston Springs. That’s the park with the baseball field.

All you Senior Citizens are invited to a special viewing of the new Activity Center in L.L. Burns Park on Monday, October 1st. This is Bingo Day which starts at 11:00. Bingo ends at 12:30 but we will continue the open house until 2 p.m. when we will serve a light fare and some cake. Come see the new building which will be the home base for our Seniors’ Programs and meet some new friends. Come early and play some Bingo. There is no charge to play and there are prizes. This program is for ages over 60.

ART in the PARK is still registering for the Oct. 6th show. Plan now and register for a free booth. Come sell your artistic wares at this one day event. Information and forms are online at www.kingstonsprings.net.

This year’s 5K RUN THROUGH THE SPRINGS is on Saturday, November 3rd. Mark your calendar and plan to bring out the family to this year’s fun run/walk. This year’s race will be ranked, but not timed, and cash awards will be given. Everyone receives a medal to participate. Register early to be guaranteed a shirt. This year there is also team racing for teams of 4 and larger. Watch for more details on that and other additions to this year’s race. The races have always been fun, but this year it will be “funner”! You can go to www.active.com to register or pick up forms at City Hall and Community Bank in Kingston Springs.
