Pegram Firefighters Win County Challenge

Pegram Firefighters Like the Trophy…so they brought it home again!

The Cheatham County Firefighter’s Challenge is an event that has been held 7 times.

The Pegram Volunteer Fire Department has brought home the trophy 3 of those years. In fact, they won it last year, and they liked it. So much so that they did it again, and will keep the trophy and the bragging rights for another year.

There were 4 events that made up the challenge this year, including: the Obstacle Course, 3 Man Hose Relay, Bucket Brigade, and the Keg Push (above left).

Pegram won first place in the Obstacle Course and the 3 Man Hose Relay and took second place in the Keg Push giving them a total of 8 points to take the overall Firefighter’s Challenge Trophy.

Ashland City and Harpeth Ridge Fire Departments tied for second place overall. The Ashland City Fire Dept. and the Cheatham County Firefighter’s Association once again sponsored the event.

The weather was perfect and the event was once again a great deal of fun for families and firefighters!
