Bomb Threats Evacuate 29 TN County Courthouses

Bomb threats caused the evacuation of 29 county courthouses across the state on Tuesday, including the Cheatham County courthouse. TN Highway Patrol sent a bomb sniffing dog there to clear the scene.

All of the threats were called in by phone, Cheatham County’s threat was called in at approximately 10a.m. to the County Clerk’s Office in the Tucker Empson building.

The courthouse was closed for about 2 1/2 hours while it was searched.

No bombs were found at any of the threatened courthouses.
