Phone Book Round Up!

Residents of South Cheatham, Kingston Springs Elementary will be holding a Phone Book Round Up from now until December 19th. We are asking anyone to donate unused phone books. Drop off sites will be the school, the South Cheatham Library, and Pencils. We have set a goal to collect 750 phone books by our deadline. Thanks so much for your participation!

New Years Eve Celebration:

VFW Post 1970, 7220 Charlotte Pk. Nashville, Tn. Will be having a New Years Eve Party and Dance on Monday December 31, 2012. Doors will open at 7pm, Party starts from 9pm until 1am. Tickets will be $15 per person and on sale at the door. Tickets are also available to purchase prior to New Years at the Post. Buddy Jennette & Rough Country Band will be performing some Classic Country tunes. There will be finger foods, party favors, door prizes and a special door prize of an 80 Qt cooler. “Drive Thru” Bethlehem

First Baptist Church of Pegram, 4548 Sunnyfield Dr, invites you to “DRIVE-THRU” BETHLEHEM on Friday, December 14th between 6:30—8:00 p.m. Enter from Hannah Ford Rd, turn at stop light on Hwy 70 in Pegram. Please bring non-perishable food donations to benefit The Ark Community Resource Center.

Community Club 2013 Calendars

Hot of the presses are the Community Club 2013 Calendars. This year’s calendar features photos that were taken by Club members along with a painting by local artist Sue Nichols. The calendar also has “special dates to remember” for events happening in Pegram throughout the year. This calendar would make a delightful Christmas gift for someone! So help out the Club as we continue working to preserve, one of Pegram’s oldest landmarks. Check’em out at Finch’s, Parts City Auto Parts, and Community Bank, both Pegram and Kingston Springs branches and other local businesses in Pegram.

New Bethel UMC Christmas Program

On Sunday, December 9, at 6:00 p.m., New Bethel UMC will have its’ annual Christmas Program and everyone is invited to come and celebrate with Lessons and Carols and the lighting of candles. Brother Joe Frazer plans to play for the carol singing and there’ll be fellowship and refreshments in the fellowship hall after the service. All are welcome at New Bethel UMC, located at 5200 Pond Creek Road, at the corner of Cub Creek Road, and we look forward to sharing the story of the birth of Jesus with you!


Commodity distribution in Cheatham County will be December 12 & 13, 2012 from 9:00 am to 3:00pm, at the Cheatham County MCCAA office located at 296 Frey Street, Unit 10, Ashland City. Cheatham County Animal Control Rabies Clinic

Cheatham County Animal Control will be hosting their last $10.00 Rabies clinic for 2012 on December 8th from 9 am to 12 pm. Please call 792-3647 and register your pets to make sure that we have enough supplies for everyone. Please make sure your pets start the new year off healthy and happy. Tennessee Law requires all cats and dogs over the age of 6 months of age to have a current rabies vaccination (TCA 68-8-103).


Join us Saturday, December 8, from 5-8 for a Holly Jolly Christmas! We will be serving chili, hot chocolate and many other goodies! Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there for pictures! Watch next week for entertainment to be named!

AA Meetings

Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are held each Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m., each Wednesday at 12:00 p.m., and Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. at 335 Oak Street in Kingston Springs. Also, “The Payday Group” meets at Pegram Church of Christ on Fridays at 7 p.m. For emergencies call the Nashville AA Hotline at 831-1050.
