KSES to Perform “Yes, Virginia”

CONGRATULATIONS to the music department at Kingston Spring Elementary School. They received a grant from Macy’s to present the musical “Yes, Virginia”. This will be performed by the Fourth Grade Chorus on Monday, Dec. 17 at 6:30 pm, Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 6:30 pm, and Wednesday, Dec. 19 at 8:15 am at Kingston Springs Elementary School.

The story is about a young girl named Virginia (played by Mary Byrd) and her friend Ollie (played by Liam Perry) who want to believe in Santa Claus. Some of her friends try to convince her otherwise – like Charlotte (played by Avery Plemons) and her cat, Mrs. Whiskers (played by Karley Nygren.) The chorus is under the direction of Mrs. Mary Combs, who applied for the grant. There are 21 students in the chorus, plus 2 adults who are playing the adult roles of Santa (Doug Phelps) and the Librarian (Lori Plemons) who relays the story to the audience.

This is a fun-filled show for the whole family. Admission is free, so invite all your friends!
