I thought I’d share with you, that I have received a message from a very reliable source, that the School Board is in favor to offer Dr. Curtis an extended contract, up to 4 years. The Board is expected to discuss this issue at the retreat which will be held at Montgomery Bell State Park in Dickson County, January 19 & 20th.

Folks it is time to see if your elected officials actually listen to their constituents. My suggestion is, that if you want to see the School Board search for a new Director, then send every member a RESPECTFUL email stating your concern, that you want the Board to actively search for a new Director.

If you choose not to voice your opinion to the Board, then they will believe that every thing is fine, and make this important decision on their own. There will be nothing you can do once the contract is signed.

Don’t take this process for granted. If you email each member separately, they can hide your response from each member, and vote for their agenda. If you send one email with every Board members address together, there is no hiding the fact that each member got your message.

I’ve heard County wide that you want change, now here is your chance to act. Spread the word, they need to hear from you.

You should also be in contact with the Board members if you want to keep Dr. Curtis as well. Additionally, the public should also attend the workshops & board meetings on a regular basis.
