Tennessee State University names local residents to Dean’s List

The following local residents were among the 1,973 students from Tennessee State University who were named to the Fall 2012 Dean’s List:

Brian Allen, majoring in Music and a resident of Pegram, TN.

Jason Edens, majoring in Human Performance and Sport Sc and a resident of Kingston Spr, TN.

Wesley Hurst, majoring in Physical Therapy and a resident of Kingston Springs, TN.

Ronald Oniszczak, majoring in Civil Engineering and a resident of Kingston Springs, TN.

Maria Talley, majoring in Health Information Management and a resident of Kingston Springs, TN.

Heather Young, majoring in Nursing and a resident of Pegram, TN.

The honor list names of students who have achieved a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher in 12 or more semester hours taken for a letter grade during the spring semester.

With nearly 9,000 students, Tennessee State University is Nashville’s only public university, and is a comprehensive, urban, coeducational, land-grant university offering 38 undergraduate, 22 graduate and seven doctoral programs. TSU has earned a top 20 ranking for Historically Black Colleges and Universities according to U.S. News and World Report, and rated as one of the top Universities in the state by Washington Monthly for social mobility, research and community service.
