The Harpeth Indians Basketball teams had a busy week with three games.
First they hit the road and headed out to take on those other Indians of Montgomery Central on January 8th. The Lady Indians picked up a 51 – 48 win. Scoring in the exciting matchup for the Harpeth Lady Indians were: Kaylee Ginnings 7, Kelley Miller 6, Taylor Gracia 17, Savannah Hudson 2, Annie Price 2, Olivia Miniat 16, Haley Tolle 1.
The Indians also picked up a win, 61-51. Scoring: Davis Anderton 9, Maison Anderton 2, Cole Beshears 2, Austin Brown 2, Austin Dole 4, Ethan Hurt 9, Aston Hutchison 4, Beau Johnson 8, Jaron Marlow 5, Tanner Newton 10, T. C. Newton 4, Austin Williams 2.
On January 11th, the teams came home to play East Nashville Magnet School. The Ladies won their game 41-37 with two Lady Indians leading the way: Taylor Gracia and Olivia Miniat both with 14 points. Also scoring were: Kaylee Ginnings 2, Kelley Miller 5, Savannah Hudson 4, Annie Price 2, Haley Tolle 1.
Unfortunately the men lost their game to a very good team, 61-40. Scoring for the Indians were: Davis Anderton 8, Will Clayton 2, Jaron Marlow 3, Maison Anderton 3, Ethan Hurt 2, Aston Hutchison 1, Tanner Newton 7, Austin Brown 3, Beau Johnson 1, Austin Williams 5 and Austin Dole 5.
On Saturday was the rematch with the Dickson County Cubs, and it unfortunately went about the same as the first time. Both Harpeth teams went down with a loss.
The Indians lost by a score of 57 – 45. Scoring for the Indians were: Davis Anderton 7, Will Clayton 2, Austin Dole 4, Ethan Hurt 12, Aston Hutchison 3, Beau Johnson 5, Tanner Newton 10, Austin Williams 2.
The Lady Indians lost 50-24. Scoring: Kaylee Ginnings 3, Taylor Stringer 1, Taylor Gracia 4, Elizabeth Metcalfe 1, Olivia Miniat 4, Addie Moulton 4, Annie Price 2, McKenzie Roberts 3, Haley Tolle 2.
Friday night, January 18th the Indian teams will travel to Charlotte to take on Creekwood in a very big District match for both teams. On Tuesday, January 21st they welcome the Waverly Tigers.
