The Pegram Special Events Committee will meet on Monday, Feb. 4, at 6:30 at the Parks and Rec. bldg, to begin plans for the 2013 4th of July festivities. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate. Hope to see you there!


The Way offers free tutoring for K-12 students. Tutoring is offered Mondays and Thursdays 3:30-5:00 at 536 Hwy 70 (the old bank building/Maurices Smokehouse). Call us at 615-953-1291 for more information.


First Friday night of every month, The Way hosts “Parents Night Out,” a program allowing parents to get away for an evening without having to pay a babysitter. Maybe you and your spouse need a date night. Maybe you need some “me” time. We would love to hang out with your kids for a night.From 6:30-8:30, bring your kids for snacks, games, movies, music, and more.

Kindle E-Book Workshop

Cheatham County Animal Control Hosting Rabies Clinic

Cheatham County Animal Control will be hosting a $10.00 Rabies Clinic at 2797 Sams Creek Road, Pegram from 9 am to 12 Noon on Saturday February 2nd, 2013. Please register your pet by calling 615-792-3647. Tennessee State law requires all cats and dogs, over the age of 6 months, to have a current rabies vaccination. Community Club 2013 Calendars

Hot of the presses are the Community Club 2013 Calendars. This year’s calendar features photos that were taken by Club members along with a painting by local artist Sue Nichols. The calendar also has “special dates to remember” for events happening in Pegram throughout the year. This calendar would make a delightful Christmas gift for someone! So help out the Club as we continue working to preserve, one of Pegram’s oldest landmarks. Check’em out at Finch’s, Parts City Auto Parts, and Community Bank, both Pegram and Kingston Springs branches and other local businesses in Pegram.


Alanon is a support group for friends and family who are suffering from the effects of alcoholism and addiction. Alanon meetings are held on Thursday night’s, 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at Studio Mills, 406 N. Main Street. For more info call Linda M. 615-952-4864.

AA Meetings

Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are held each Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m., each Wednesday at 12:00 p.m., and Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. at 335 Oak Street in Kingston Springs. Also, “The Payday Group” meets at Pegram Church of Christ on Fridays at 7 p.m. For emergencies call the Nashville AA Hotline at 831-1050.
