Jean Perry Fort, age 75, of Ashland City, passed away Tuesday, March 12th, 2013 at her home. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, March 16th at 1 o’clock pm in the chapel of Austin and Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Bro. Cliett Goodpasture and Bro. Johnny Trail officiating. Burial followed in EverRest of Cheatham with Bo Hunter, Joey Judd, Lance Lannom, John Binkley, Bob Binkley, and Donnie Jordon serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Fort was born December 11, 1937 in Cheatham County, Tennessee to the late Ewell “Mutt” and Magdalene Perry. She was a member of Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ and retired from State Industries. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Fort and granddaughter, Sarah Jean Lannom. She is survived by her daughters, Angela (Joey) Judd of Kingston Springs, Amy (Lance) Lannom of Joelton, Johna Fort of Chapmansboro; sisters, Annette (Jim) Alexander of Jacksonville, Florida, June (Bill) Peters of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Faye (Al) McClellan of Wayne, Pennsylvania; and grandchildren, Bo Hunter of Clarksville and Auburn Lannom of Joelton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sycamore Chapel Cemetery Fund, American Heart Association, or American Diabetes Association.
