West 70 Art Cruise Sat April 20th – 10am to 4pm

ArtCruiseRESIZED copyCome celebrate spring at the season’s first West 70 Arts Cruise on Saturday, April 20th from 10am-4pm. Want a different way to support your local community, come shop local from regional artists, farmers, and handmade products and one-of-a-kind gifts made not only in Tennessee, but handmade within a few miles from your home.

The event is hosted by Mud Puddle Pottery Studio and the Harpeth Art Center and Gallery, with booths located outside around the property and inside, with something for everyone!

Live music will be featured by “Those Two”, Ariel and Ray DeSilvis, who are some of the local area favorites that you won’t want to miss. Also check out some local pickers that will be jamming in front of the Fiddle and Pick, and will offer live music on guitars, fiddles and banjos, so pull up a seat and kick back to some tunes.

Adults can pre-register for a clay class and create your own personalized mug in clay with our instructor and “make it your own”. You’ll design this mug from a soft, moist clay slab, adding texture and embellishments to complete a very unique piece of functional art to use every day. Nothing feels better than your own hand made mug, made to fit your personality. The class is from 1pm to 2pm and is $20 per person. We welcome members of “Events and Adventures” to this fun clay class adventure. After the clay class, there is plenty of time to browse through among the artists, local farmers, and enjoy the local flavors and music.

Artists will be selling their work and demonstrating their craftsmanship. You’ll find handmade rocking chairs and furniture, wheel thrown pottery, hand crafted jewelry, rain barrels and garden accessories, woven baskets, hand turned wood, paintings, mixed media, rustic furniture and décor, essential oils and aromatherapy, natural products, photography, glass, lotions and soaps, candles, baked goods and so more.

Plan your lunch at the Arts Cruise, where you can get a plate of delicious pit fired barbeque, made with the freshest local farm raised pork, and help benefit the Fiddle and Pick music center.

Jewelry artisan, Francesca Lynn, located in the cabin, will be demonstrating jewelry and metal working techniques, along with selling tools, supplies, and her handmade jewelry. You can register for upcoming classes with Fran while your there.

The location is 462 Highway 70 in Pegram. Be sure to tell your friends that it’s just 20 minutes west of downtown Nashville. For more information, call 615-646-6644
