Good News Clubs

The Bible taught in our public elementary schools? Yes! Good News Clubs meet 2 hours, one afternoon each week to bring the Gospel to the children where they are. Volunteers are needed to help teach the Bible lesson, Scripture memory and songs as well as hands to serve snacks, do paperwork, etc. Will you go on mission with us to share Jesus with the children? PALS Chapter of CCHGA

The PALS Chapter ofCCHGA will hold its’ annual picnic on Saturday, June 1. All PALS members are invited to come to the Brush Creek Recreation Area at 12:00 Noon, bring your family and good food to share! We’ll have a short business meeting following lunch. Other CCHGA members are also invited.

BLOCK PARTY

The Way is celebrating the beginning of Summer with a block party on Friday night May 31st from 7-10pm. We’re cooking hot dogs, there will be music, games, and friends and families having a good time. All our neighbors are invited to come out and join us! The Way is a faith based community center located in the old bank building in Pegram next to the Pegram Supermarket on Hwy 70.

Cheatham County Democrats

The Cheatham County Democratic Executive Committee will hold its monthly meeting in the Denney Room of the Pinnacle Bank in Ashland City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. All Democrats are welcome and urged to attend. Matters to be discussed may include plans for the Summerfest celebration in Ashland City at the end of June, 2013, and other activities related to building the party, fund-raising, and addressing current issues. The committee will consider an amendment to Article II (Membership), Section 2 (Nondiscrimination) of the Cheatham County Democratic Party Bylaws at this meeting whereby the current wording of Section 2 would be changed to : “Membership in the Cheatham County Democratic Party shall not be denied because of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, religion, age, gender identity, disability or ethnic origin” (changes in italics).

Commodity Distribution in Cheatham County

Commodity Distribution in Cheatham County will be June 12 & 13, 2013, 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Cheatham County MCCAA office located at 296 Frey Street, Unit 10, Ashland City. MCCAA is a non-profit organization serving low income families in Cheatham County. Please call 615-792-3632 for questions. $10 Rabies Clinic

Cheatham County Animal Control will be hosting a $10.00 Rabies Clinic at 2797 Sams Creek Road, Pegram from 9 am to 12 Noon on Saturday June 1st, 2013. Please register your pet by calling 615-792-3647. Tennessee State law requires all cats and dogs, over the age of 6 months, to have a current rabies vaccination. Harpeth Summer Day Camp
