Library’s Summer Reading Program Begins June 13

AuthorThe Summer Reading Program at the South Cheatham Public Library begins on Thursday, June 13th at 10:30 in the morning. Our Theme this year is “Dig Into Reading!” and we kick off our summer of fun with Magician Bruce Amato on Thursday, June 13th at 10:30.

The following “edutainers” will also be here – June 20th – Pat Qualls with her Critter Crates; June 27th – Terry Hedges; July 4th – no program; July 11th – Rachel Sumner with stories and songs; July 18th – Safari Greg and his exotic animals; and July 25th is our Grand Finale with Harpeth Alpaca, snacks, games, prizes and more! The program is at 10:30 on Thursday and we will have prizes for reading. This is

a great way for your child to maintain literacy, learn new things, and enjoy all the library has to offer!! You can register your child at the library or when you come on the 13th – our staff will be on hand to sign you up – see you then!!

This year we will be offering classes through the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program for adults. This is exceptional, hands-on nutrition education for adults with children and will run simultaneously with our Summer Reading Program on the library’s front porch. The program will cover topics such as food safety, meal and shopping planning, cooking and eating with your child, and much more.
