First Baptist Church of Pegram invites children to “Kingdom Rock”

Vacation Bible School from July 8th to July 12th. At Kingdom Rock, faith and imagination soar as kids discover they can Stand Strong for God. Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, dig into yummy treats, and collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them to Stand Strong for God. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Cheatham County Animal Control Rabies Clinic

Cheatham County Animal Control will be hosting a $10.00 Rabies Clinic at 2797 Sams Creek Road, Pegram from 9 am to 12 Noon on Saturday August 3rd, 2013. Please pre-register your pet (first come first served) by calling 615-792-3647. Tennessee State law requires all cats and dogs, over the age of 6 months, to have a current rabies vaccination. BENEFIT SALE FOR MID CUMBERLAND COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY

The Benefit Sale in Cheatham County will be June 29, 2013, 8:00 am to 3:00pm, at the Cheatham County MCCAA office located at 296 Frey Street, Unit 10, Ashland City. VFW 4th of July Celebration:

VFW Post 1970, 7220 Charlotte Pk. Nashville, Tn. Will be having our Annual Fourth of July BBQ on Thursday July 4th, 2013. Serving will begin at 11am. There will be BBQ and Chicken Plates with Baked Beans, potato salad, slaw, bread and desserts. Cost for BBQ is $8, Chicken plates will be $6. We will have our Annual Auction of Donated items starting at 12:30, with bidding numbers available starting at noon. The Cheatham County Democratic Executive Committee will hold its monthly meeting in the Denney Room of the Pinnacle Bank in Ashland City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2013. All Democrats are welcome and urged to attend. Matters to be discussed may include plans for additional party-building activities, further efforts to disseminate information on the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), veterans’ issues, and long-term plans for the 2014 election.

Announcing The Pegram Community Club Barbecue on Thursday, July 4th at the Community Club beside the “Red Caboose” located at 453 Thompson Rd. at Hwy. 70 in Pegram TN 37143. 4th of July Pancake Breakfast

Annual Pancake Breakfast kicks off Fourth of July activities in Pegram. Serving from 7 to 9:30 a.m., Thurs., July 4th in the Pegram United Methodist Church fellowship hall. Adult tickets for the pancake and sausage breakfast are $6, and children $3. Make plans now to join your neighbors and friends, including politicians and other parade participants at this super delicious breakfast and social event. All are welcome. Tennessee Gesneriad Society
