Cheatham County Community Theater presents: Annie Get Your Gun

annie-300x230Cheatham County Community Theater is pleased to present Irving Berlin’s musical “Annie Get Your Gun.” The play is coming to the stage July 19-21 and 26-28 under the direction of Nicole Arnold.

In this beloved classic, Annie Oakley – the best shot around – is persuaded to join the Wild West Show as the novel sharpshooter. She falls head over heels for the show’s headliner, the debonair shooting ace Frank Butler. Annie soon eclipses Butler as the main attraction, bruising his ego and jeopardizing their romance. Ultimately he’s pitted against Annie in a final shoot-out. The show features toe-tappin’ ditties such as “There’s No Business Like Show Business” and “Anything You Can Do” that hearken a romanticized period in America’s history.

Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday matinees are at 2:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $12 for adults and $6 for seniors 65 and up and students. Group pricing is also available. Cheatham County Community Theater is located at the Jean Downey Theater behind Harpeth High School, 170 E. Kingston Springs Rd., Kingston Springs, Tenn.

The play is being brought to the stage in part by Heritage Bank, South Cheatham Advocate, Harmony House Publications and Community Bank & Trust.
