On Monday morning Kingston Springs Officer Jeremy Vaughan took three reports of vehicle burglaries in the Bluffs of the Harpeth subdivision across from Lawrence foods. All three vehicles were parked in driveways and all were unlocked. The vehicles were gone through sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning. Cash, electronics and medication were stolen from the vehicles. Vaughan was able to lift fingerprints from one of these burglaries but there are currently no suspects.
On Monday evening, a Sheriff’s Deputy was patrolling Cross Country Drive off of C.C. Rd after neighbors called earlier in the day reporting that someone was recklessly driving an ATV (4-wheeler) on the roadway with a child on the back. The Deputy made contact with two men driving the ATV’s on the roadway. After speaking with the two men and inspecting the ATV’s, the Deputy discovered that both of the ATV’s had been reported as stolen.
The two men who were operating the ATV’s (Zechariah D. Poteet, 29 years old & Brandon Lafever 22) were both arrested and charged with theft of property. Officers later recovered a third ATV from the suspects’ home on Cross Country Dr. which had also been reported as stolen. Two of the ATV’s recovered had been stolen out of Davidson County and the third ATV had been stolen from a home in Kingston Springs.
