Mark your calendars for Pegram’s 3rd Annual Community Yard Sale. It will be on Saturday, September 7th, from 7 – 3. We’ve had great success the first two years and look forward to another great sale this year. If you live in Pegram and plan on having a yard sale please contact Town Hall at 646-0773 or Sherri Martin at 673-7327 and leave your name and address. You can also post your information on our Facebook Page – Pegram Special Events. Your address will be placed on a map that will be distributed before the date so that you’re easily located. Please help us spread the word so that everyone can participate by either hosting a sale OR coming to Pegram to shop.

Back to School Beach Bash

1st Baptist Church of Pegram is hosting a Back to School Beach Bash, Sunday, August 25, 5-7 pm. Enjoy an afternoon of fun in the sun with an inflatable water slide, water balloons, water games, limbo contest, giant slip-n-slide, kiddie pools, sandy beach, free hot dogs, chips, and popsicles.

South Cheatham Public Library Closing for 2 Weeks

The South Cheatham Public Library will be closed from Saturday, August 10th through Saturday, August 24th for carpet replacement. We will reopen on Monday, August 26th at 10:00. We are sorry for the inconvenience. All circulating items will have due dates adjusted to account for the closure. Thank you.

Cheatham County Democrats

The Cheatham County Democratic Executive Committee will hold its monthly meeting in the Denney Room of the Pinnacle Bank in Ashland City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2013. All Democrats are welcome and urged to attend. Matters to be discussed may include plans for the Cheatham County Fair and other events, veterans’ issues, and an overview of the 2014 election including the need for qualified candidates.

KINGSTON SPRINGS AMERICAN LEGION POST

KINGSTON SPRINGS AMERICAN LEGION POST #59 meets monthly, second Monday at 6:30pm in the Old Depot in Pegram. All vets welcome to come join us.

AlAnon

Alanon is a support group for friends and family who are suffering from the effects of alcoholism and addiction. Alanon meetings are held on Thursday night’s, 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at Studio Mills, 406 N. Main Street. For more info call Linda M. 615-952-4864.

AA Meetings

Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are held each Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m., each Wednesday at 12:00 p.m., and Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. at 335 Oak Street in Kingston Springs. There is also a Monday evening at 5:30p.m. meeting at the Pegram United Methodist Church at 479 Thompson Rd. in Pegram, (right across from the ballpark). Also, “The Payday Group” meets at Pegram Church of Christ on Fridays at 7 p.m. For emergencies call the Nashville AA Hotline at 831-1050.
