Before the holidays begin, the Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee is making it easy for parents to register their daughters as Girl Scouts.
Council representatives and local troops will be at various locations across middle Tennessee on November 16 for the Girl Scout Recruitment Extravaganza event. With age-appropriate troop levels (kindergarten through 12th grade) and financial aid availability, every girl in middle Tennessee has the opportunity to be a Girl Scout.
Anyone interested in learning about the Girl Scouts is invited to attend. Attendees will have the opportunity to make a craft and socialize with current members, while adults speak to representatives and parents to learn more about the organization. Additionally, girls who sign up to become members will receive their first patch – “I’m registered.”
The Girl Scout Extravaganza will take place from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the following locations:
• Camp Sycamore – 2020 Girl Scout Rd, Ashland City, TN 37015
• Camp Holloway – 7551 Holloway Rd, Millersville, TN 37072
“Girl Scouts have been positively impacting our community and communities around the world since 1912,” said Phyllis Sutton, vice president of volunteer and membership services. “Girl Scouting provides a unique opportunity for girls to try new experiences, cultivate leadership through activities, learn to be business owners and more.”
