Adopt Me Please: Cassie

cassieMeet Dear, Sweet Cassie!

Our dear Cassie is timid and shy. While we’ll never know what happened to Cassie to make her shut down, we’re working with her and she’s slowly learning what it’s like to be a dog again. We’ve moved her up front to the office so she can spend more time around people and watch the daily comings and goings of all the people, dogs, and cats here at animal control. The staff and volunteers spend quiet time just sitting with Cassie, talking to her softly and petting her soft fur. We’ve even gotten a kiss or two!

She’s now decided that one staff member is her running buddy and she loves to run and romp while they take a walk. When he whistles for her, she even runs back! She’s making great progress!

Cassie needs a quiet home with a patient owner where she can continue to slowly come out of her shell. At about 3 ½ years old, she’s a quiet girl and is more than happy to hang out at your feet in her doggie bed. She’s even good with other dogs and cats.

Cassie’s adoption fee is $100. Cassie will be spayed and have all of her shots. For information on Cassie, please contact Cheatham County Animal Control at 615-792-3647 or We are located at 2797 Sam’s Creek Road in Pegram, TN, about 10 minutes down I-40W from Bellevue.

Please remember . . . through December 31 we are collecting non-perishable food items for Cheatham County residents in need. For each item donated, $1 will be taken off your adoption fee (up to $50!)
