During the week leading up to Christmas the Harpeth Indians played two!

The Lady Indians found their winning ways with two big games. First they took care of the Lady Cubs of Cheatham winning over their Cross County Rivals 52-52. Scoring in the game were Olivia Miniat with 25, Taylor Gracia with 17, Savannah Hudson with 4, Haley Tolle with 4 and Addison Moulton with 2.

Then it was Hillwood in a rematch with the Hill Toppers. The Ladies took that game as well, 43-33. Scoring in the game were Taylor Gracia 15, Addison Moulton 7, Haley Tolle 6, Savannah Hudson 6, Kyleigh Ivey 4, Kailynn Beshears with 3, Annie Price 2.

The men lost to the Cheatham County Cubs 73-63. They went down at halftime by 11 and played tough in the 2nd half but couldn’t over come the Cub lead. Scoring in the loss were Aston Hutchison and Austin Williams both with 14, Davis Anderton with 13, Beau Johnson with 12 and Will Clayton with 10.

In the 2nd game of the week the Indians took the season sweep of Hillwood winning the game 61-49. Davis Anderton scored 17, Aston Hutchison 16, Will Clayton 12, Beau Johnson 6, Austin Williams 9 and TC Newton 1.

Both of the Harpeth Indian Teams played in a Holiday Tournament at Overton over the weekend after Christmas. The Indians will return to District play on Tuesday January 7th hosting White House and then on Friday hosting Westmoreland.

Harpeth’s basketball teams hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and is ready to Cheer the Indians on to Victory in 2014!
