Lawrence Foods Armed Robbery Solved

1606990_724574100887385_2108529925_nJust as the store was closing at 9p.m. on January 22nd, 2014, an armed man came through the exit door at Lawrence Foods armed with a gun. His face was covered, but video clearly showed what happened as the 3 employees were threatened and told to get the cash out of the registers, and the office. When he left the store on foot, he had several bank bags with money.

The Kingston Springs Police Department this week filed charges against Felipe Marcos-Bernal, 25 years old of Nashville, with Aggravated Robbery in connection to the Armed Robbery that occurred that evening. After receiving a tip, Officer Thomas Royal with the Kingston Springs Police Department, and Detective Shannon Heflin with the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Department interviewed the suspect who is currently incarcerated in the Davidson County Jail on unrelated charges. As a result of his statement, once Mr. Marcos-Bernal is released from Davidson County he will be taken directly to the Cheatham County Jail.

Although Bernal lived in Nashville, he had a former girl friend who lives in Kingston Springs, and was familiar with the store and the area.

The Kingston Springs Police Department would like to thank the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for their assistance with the case. “We would also like to thank everyone who saw and shared our Facebook post!!!”
