On short notice residents in Kingston Springs and Pegram came out on Friday afternoon to welcome home Army Sergeant Casey Napier.
Chief Brent Stuart put the word out that Napier would be arriving, and would be brought home along with his family in a beautiful shiny red Pegram firetruck.
His route began at Nashville International Airport where he was greeted by his wife Valerie and daughter Haley. They loaded up in the truck and headed home. First traveling through Kingston Springs, then home to Pegram where dozens of residents had gathered to greet him at Town Hall.
Napier returns after 10 months deployed to Afghanistan. He has been on a Military leave of absence from the Pegram Fire Department, but now he’s back, and his Chief is happy to have him. “I think he’s excited to get back with the guys at training sessions, equipment check offs and of course incident responses”, he said.
