The Ark Board of Directors Announces a New Management Team

The Ark Board of Directors welcomes Anne Carty as the new Program Director of the Ark. Anne will be part of The Ark management team that also includes Pat McDonald, business manager, and Betty Blair Daniel, manager of Noah’s Closet. The team will work together with the Board of Directors to fulfill the mission and vision of the Ark Community Resource and Assistance Center in South Cheatham County.

We are excited to announce that Jack Kapanka is joining the Ark Board of Directors this year. The 2014 Board of Directors includes the following people:

Rachel Smiley (Board Chair), Caroline Reynolds (vice chair), Lori Healey (Treasurer), Shawn Rider (secretary), Joy Bauman, Marilyn Clark, Sheila Harris, Jack Kapanka, and Lisa Taylor.

The Ark was created in the summer of 2001 recognizing the need for concentrated social services in south Cheatham County. It began then and continues today to connect churches and volunteers and schools and various community groups and resources with folks in need.

Because of overwhelming community support, both through donations and volunteer hours, the Ark is still “helping families stay afloat”.

THANK YOU to the community for supporting and giving to the following programs: The Ark Food Pantry, Meals on Wheels of South Cheatham County, The Christmas Angel Tree Program, Utility Assistance Program, donations and purchases at Noah’s Closet, and the Postal Food Drive. Without the amazing support of our wonderful community in South Cheatham County we could not do what we do.
