Do to the rescheduled game from last Tuesday, the Harpeth Indians ended up playing three games in as many nights!
Thursday it was Nashville Christian. It’s just a short ride into Bellevue but a road game just the same. The Lady Indians lost a close one to the Lady Eagles 52-50. The Indians had one of their biggest comebacks of the year. They trailed the Eagles by 15 twice in the 1st half and by 13 during the 3rd period before coming back with a lot of help from Davis Anderton and Austin Williams. Indians win 53 – 46.
Friday night it was a road trip to pay a visit to District foe White House Blue Devils. Both of the Indian Teams took care of business. In the ladies game it was the Taylor Gracia Show in the 1st half. She went off with 19 points and 10 for 10 from the free throw stripe. The Lady Indians won that one 53-49.
In the mens game victory was never in dought as the men took an early double digit lead and won the game 57-42.
Then for a finale Harpeth hosted their rescheduled game with White House Heritage on Saturday. Once again both of the Indian teams won in this District matchup; the ladies 45-40 and the men won big 67-47.
Both of the Indian Teams are working on securing the #2 Seed for the District Tournament. They have one more game to do so Tuesday Night as they will travel to Westmoreland High School.
Also Monday night, February 10th will be Senior Night. Come out and show your support for the Harpeth Indian Basketball and Cheer Seniors as they take on Dickson County.
The District Tournament will be starting on the 12th and will be held at Vol State Community Collage in Gallatin. Support your Indian Basketball Teams!
