Kingston Springs Elementary School News

Read Across America Week is here. We have great fun celebrating this week here at KSES and look forward to continuing to promote reading for our students! Each day next week, students will be allowed to dress up according the following schedule:

Monday – Cat in the Hat Day, students may wear hats

Tuesday – Hop on Pop Day

Wednesday- Fox In Socks Day, students may wear crazy socks

Thursday – Green Eggs and Ham Day, students may have Crazy Hair

Friday – Favorite Book Character Day, students may dress up as their favorite book character (no masks)

Tuesday, February 25th will also be our 1st Grade Music Program, “Americans We”, with a school presentation at 1:45 and an evening performance at 6:30. Mrs. Mary and the students have been working hard and we hope you can join us!

Menu:

Monday – Chicken Nuggets or Beef Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Green Peas, Baked Apples

Tuesday – Chicken Alfredo or Turkey & Cheese Sub, Cooked Carrots, Green Beans

Wednesday – Hamburger/Cheeseburger or Chicken Sandwich, Fries, Carrot Sticks, Broccoli

Thursday – Taco Salad or Mini Corn Dogs, Black Beans, Cheesy Potatoes

Friday – Pepperoni Pizza or Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich, Side Salad, Smiley Fries

I would also like to say a BIG Congratulations to the 2012-2013 KSES Students, Faculty and Staff as well as Mrs. Stacy Brinkley for being named to the Top 10% of elementary schools in the state! We recently found out we scored in the top 6-10% of elementary schools in the state in both achievement and growth! Good things are happening here at KSES and we appreciate your continued support and encouragement. Go Cardinals!
