Harpeth Wrestling Banquet and Awards

The high school and middle school wrestling teams at Harpeth closed their seasons with their annual banquet and awards on Sunday, February 23, 2014. The middle school team saw lots of success this season with four MCAC Champions: Ty Holland, Braxton Hunter, Thomas Hatcher, and Devin Spence. Houston Crouch was an MCAC runner-up and Dillon Krantz placed third. The middle school recognized individual wrestlers for outstanding performances including Ty Holland (Horizon Award), Houston Crouch (Most Improved Award), Braxton Hunter (Outstanding Wrestler Award), Thomas Hatcher (Iron Man Award), and Devin Spence (Coaches Award). The high school team also had a lot of success this season with three state qualifiers and two state medalists. Jeremiah Ward, Tyler Christian, and Jason Fennell qualified for the TSSAA State Wrestling Championships. Tyler placed 3rd and Jason placed 5th. The high school wrestling team also had three wrestlers who received All Mid-State honors including Dakota Clark, Jason Fennell, and Tyler Christian. The high school wrestling team recognized the following wrestlers for outstanding performances this season: Daelyn Rose (Rookie of the Year), Tyler Christian (Most Takedowns and Outstanding Wrestler), Dakota Clark (Most Pinfalls), Kaylob Harper (Coaches Award), Teddy Potter (Hustle Award), Alex Paseur (Horizon Award), Jason Fennell (Iron Man Award), and Caleb Coltrane (Most Improved Wrestler). All County Award honors went to Jeremiah Ward, Tyler Christian, and Dakota Clark.
