SCAreadersSpeakOutDear Editor,
Mr. Donald Sterling owner of The Los Angeles Clippers has certainly stirred up a hornets’ nest. It has yet to be proved that Mr. Sterling is the person on the tape, but most likely it will turn out to be him. As many of you I find his comments to be ugly and hateful.
But he was in the privacy of his home and had no idea that he was being recorded. According to our Bill of Rights, 1st amendment we have freedom of speech, even if Sterling had made these comments publicly he would have been within his rights and then he should expect to be publicly  ridiculed.
I don’t know about you but I don’t want to be judged by what I might say in my own home. What I say at home is nobody’s business.
We are slowly losing our rights, our Bill of Rights is being trampled on every day. We should not add to this by insisting that Mr. Sterling’s rights be stripped from him.
We don’t have to agree with him, but we do need to respect his rights as a citizen of the United States of America.
