Cheatham County has always been my home, as I have lived in the Pond Creek area my entire life. Family has always been the most important aspect of my life, and I continue to live right next door to my parents and grandfather.
I graduated from Cheatham County Central High School, while my children graduated from Harpeth High School. Three of my grandchildren currently attend school in the country at Pegram Elementary and Harpeth Middle.
Volunteering in the community has always been a significant part of my life. Since 1990, I have served our community in some capacity, whether it be coaching, serving on the SCLL board, or working on events for the town of Pegram.
For the past six years, I have been Pegram’s Special Events Coordinator, a job that has given me the opportunity to organize the annual Independence Day celebration, as well as the tradition of Christmas in the Park. For all of these events, I have worked comfortably within the budget guidelines while striving to provide the best possible experience for those within our community.
In addition, I have served on two other advisory boards. I have been a member of the board of The Way, Pegram’s faith-based community center, and have also served on the board for the cosmetology department at the former Nashville-area vocational/technical school.
With all of the valuable experience that I’ve gained in these positions over the years, and having been successfully self-employed for 28 years, I feel that I have the proper qualifications to make the important decisions that will best serve our county.
