Thur. 1- Raind today hard. Hay good wet. Too wet to plow. Ewing gon to Georg Clarks shop. Seen Ritchardson to day. Olie Butler
hear today. Lish out at Traynors.
Fri. 2- Raind hard today. Bill wife sick. Too wet to plow. Hassell and wife come down to Bill Greers today.
Sat. 3- Egbert Riggan, Hubert Crouch, Morgan Hooper, Sie Thornton and Charley a pedler staid all night.
Sun. 4- All eat dinner hear today. Lish went to Sams Creek. Allso Fletcher Pack, Lish and Egbert Riggan gon to Traynors.
Julius gon to Sams Creek. Hubert Crouch gone home. Si Thronton gone. Ho named Charley all night.
Mon. 5- Went to Kingston. 2.50 from Erbie Clark. Snuff 10cts tobaco 10cts cash. Lish come home from Sams Creek and went to Traynors. I made a mistake a bout Lish and Eck. It was today and not Sunday. Charley gone.
Tue. 6- Lish and Egbert come home. Benton went to Sams Creek yesterday. Ewing went Clarks shope. 2 shoes on Buck 40cts. Owe for same. Cloudey to day. Sam plowing. Lish gon to Nashville.
Wen. 7- Raind hard to day. Lish out at Traynors.
Thur.8- Raind hard today. Jim Stover come allso Jim Wilson. Went a fishing for first time in 40 years me and Jim Stover.
Fri. 9- Raind hard today. Went fishing me and Stover.
Sat. 10- Raind to day. Went fishing me and Jim, John Taylors and Fowler all night.
Sun.11- Mary went to see her mother. Staid all night ther. Raind hard today. Bill Shearon burried today.
Mon. 12- Mary come home. Went fishing. Hot 90 deg. today.
Tue. 13- Raind hard to day. Went to Mayses after 41lbs corn.
Wen. 14- John Eatherly stiad all night with us. He is selling books.
Thur. 15- John gone. Left this morning. Raind this morning. Ewing working John Greer. Clabe sick. Bad cold . Col. School boy hear today. Raind today.
Fri. 16- Ewing and Ed Clark halling lumber. Mary washed. Clear today. Julius gone bee hunting. Roses badey burried today.
Sat. 17- Julius and Sam gon to cut a bee tree. Ewing halling to day. I will weight till night. Lish and Egbert come home. Egbert gon to Sams Creek. Lish gon to Nashville.
Sun. 18- Verner Scott come from Pulaskey hear today. He is hear now. Charley Butler over hear today. Him and BIll Jones gone on
the island but what purpus I dont know. Benton still on Sams Creek. Julius and Scott gon to Sams Creek. Mary gone to see Miss Hattie. Olie Butler gone home. I am by myself this eavening. Clear and hot today. Lish on Sams Creek so i hear. Going to
marry so I think. Poor boy. What a misstake he will make in his life if it is so. I wish he neaver seen that woman. He doze know so let him go. He is 42 years old. He willl find out when it is too late she carirs nothing for him.
Mon. 19- Went to Kingston. Ewing halled lumber. Lish come home at 12 oclock at night him and Hammond. Smith, Scott, Riggan all night.
Tue. 20- Went Kingston me and Scott. James Stover come staid all night. Benton still on Sams Creek. Scott gone home. Lish
cutting logs.
Wen. 21- James Stover all night. Lish cutting logs him and Julius. 6 staid all night.
Thur. 22- Tom Allen, James Stover, Egbert Riggan staid all night.
Fri. 23- Tom Allen gone home. Jim Wilson and son Tom Lowry, Jack Work, James Stover staid all night. Prospectted all day.

Sat. 24- John Hudgins, James Stover, Jack Work staid all night. Jim Wilson and son and Lowry gone home. Egbert Riggan gone to Sams Creek.
Sun. 25- Benton come home and went back. Riggan come back staid all night. Nick Baley hear to day all so Fowler. John Hudgins

Mon. 26- Lish cutting logs. Sam Colvin gon to Nashville to have the horse shoded. Well I must get som stove wood. Cloudey this morning. Ewing boged the mules down. He has gone to Sams Creek to hall ties. Adamson staid all night. Allso Sam Colvin and Eck Riggan.
Tue. 27- Raind to day. Sam Colvin gone to Sams Creek. Adamson gone. Left at 12 oclock. He got no dinner. Will Crumplers babey borned July the 5th, 1909. Lish did not work to day.
Wen. 28-Lish and Riggan gone to work. Walked. Thomas hear today. Julius gone to Sams Creek. Went yesterday with Sam Colvin. Julius come home. Frank Crumpler married today.
Thur.29-John Eatherly staid all night. Lish and Riggan Cutting logs. Ewing and Sam Colvin halling ties on Sams Creek. I tryed to do someting but faild.
Fri. 30- John Eatherly gone home. Hot today. So I will stop till night. This month will soon be gone. I am makeing no money. Lish and Riggan went to Nashville
Sat. 31- Ewing come home. I run in det halling ties. Raind hard. Bobe Young died Tuesday July the 27 1909. Picknick on
Sams Creek. Coury Hooper died Tuesday July the 27 1909. Halled 203 ties on Sam Creek 14.23cts. End of the month of July 1909.
August 1909
Sun. 1- Raind this morning. Now I will see if it rains 15 days in this month. Rufus Puckett, Egbert Riggan, Fletcher Pack
staid all night. Lish come home last night. Julius went to Dog Creek to preaching.
Mon. 2- Went to Kingston. Bought of Moore Coffee 1.00 dollar. 2 tin bucketts 40cts, 1 twist tabaco 10cts. Total 1.50. Owe for
same. Ewing gone to hall spokes to Nashville allso Sam Colvin. Seen Mr. Jinkins today.
Tue. 3- Went with Jinkins to look at Judds timber. Jinkins staid all night Monday night. Jim Stover hear to day. Allso Richardson. Jinkins gone home. Julius gone to Sams Creek and come back. Houston Dunns son and daughter badley hurt bey a
team runing a way Monday. Preaching going on. On Dog Creek.
Wen. 4- Dun nothing all day. Hot to day 94. Cow better. I was at Bill Joneses to day and to Bill Fulghams. Lish went to Kingston. Stover gone home. No bodey hear today.
Thur. 5- Mary washing. Lish gone to Kingston this morning. John Kellam hear to day. Dun nothing all day.
Fri. 6- Worked on the Bluff. Julius went to Sams creek and back. Benton come home allso Asa Dozier. Staid all night. Erbie
Clark hear today. Worked on the bluff.
Sat. 7- All the boys gone to Kingston Springs. Ewing halling to Nashville. Hot all the week. Jim Wilson and son and Carry
Williams and 2 Childrand and Asa Dozier staid all night. Ewing come home. Allso Sam Colvin. Benton come home. Dozier come with him.
Sun.8- Benton gone to Sams Creek. Allso Dozier. Wilson and son all night. Williams and childrand gone home. Hot to day.
Mon. 9- Mary gon to Sams Creek. Lish gon to Nashville. Mrs. Riggan sick. I am keeping house bey my self. Ewing gon to work. Hot to day. Julius come home. Ed Clark hear to day.
Tue. 10- Lish still in town. Julius gone. Minnie and mother hear to day. Seen Tragbue yesterday. Egbert Riggan hear yesterday. Mary still on Sams Creek. Benton on Sams Creek. Will stop till night. Lish come home on the 12.40 at night.
Wen. 11- Mary on Sams Creek. Lish at home all day. All so Julius. Went to Kingston. Paid Aaron Greer 1.50 in full of acct. Paid Jacob Webb 50cts in full. Mary still on Sams Creek. Erbie and Clark hear to day. Ewing at work. Hot and dry we Kneed rain hear.
Thur.12- Mary on Sams Creek. Lish at work for the Clarks allso Butler. Julius gon after corn. Benton on Sams Creek. Bought of John Greer one bushel meal 80cts. Paid cash. Cook all the time. Hot today 97. Harry Newberry hear today. No check today. Dont know when Mary is comeing home. I am looking for some bodey hear to night. A pedler staid all night hear. He was from Adams Station.
Fri. 3- Julius gon to Sams Creek. Lish at work allso Butler. Hot and dry this morning. Mary on Sams Creek. Mary come home this eavening. Raind some at night. Very little. All night at Ewings. Lish gone fishing.
Sat. 14- Lish gon after his tools. Julius went with him. A pedler hear all night. Ewing come home. Sam Colvin and son all night. Hot 97 all day. Bought of John Greer one and half bushel corn 1.20cts. Paid cash .
Sun. 15- Pedler all night. Well I dont know hoo was hear.
Mon. 16- Pedler gone. Lish gone to Nashville. John Hudgins and Walker all night. Jim Stover come down. Lish did not come in last night. Give Lish 2.00 dolllars to go to Nashvile. Whitch makes 4 dollars in 2 weeks. Hot 97.
Tue. 17- Hudgins gone. No Lish yet. Walker hear. Stover on the river. Lish come home. Walker gone. Ewing gone to work. Bought from pdler one pockett book 10cts, beads 15cts. Total 25ctd. Mary 1.05. Total 1.30cts. James Stover on the river. Benton coem home. Mr. Greer hear to day.
Wen. 18- Went to Kingston. Paid to Jack Greer 17.75 for the Hooper brothers. Paid D.C> Pardue 17.35 in shurence. Paid Jim Richardson 5.20. Onbe pack envlops 54cts. Total 40dollars 84cts. Paid out today. Stover on the river. Some coller to day. Whorton eat dinner hear to day. Bill Shuck Greer gone home today. Cool todya.
Thur. 19- Dun nothing all day. Cool today. Ewing halling. Brandey Dozier and Wills come over. Staid all night.
Fri. 20- Ewing come home. Mule lame. Brandey and Wills all night all so Mrs. Stover and daughter. Bougt of John Greer 1/2 bushell meal 45cts. Paid cash. Mary not well. Sa Colvin halling spocks to Nashvvile today. Ewing seen Jo.
Sat. 21- Brandey gont to Sams Creek or Pond Creek. Wils gone with him. He, Wills, loves at Knoxville. I will stop till night. Jim Stover sick or that is he is not well.
Sun. 22- Went to Will Demosses. Staid all night ther. Stover drunk today. Sam Colvin gone to work. Stover staid all night. Ewing at home.
Tue. 24- Come home. Seen Sam Cox and wife. Amis Stover all night. Julius gone to Sams Creek.
Wen. 25- Stover and Tuberville gone home today. Mary bought one stove for 3.00 dollars. Ewing still out. b enton went to Sams Creek Monday. Mrs. Dunn burried to day at the Fulgham grave yard. I went to the burring. Lish gon to Kingston to preaching. Poe of Texas is preaching ther. Benton come home to night. No I am rong. He came home Thrusday.
Thru. 26- Lish at work. Ewing at work. Benton come home. Dan Joshlin hear today. He thinks I willl get beat in the law suit with the reail road. I dont think so. Hot and dry. 92 today. 3 tramps hear today. Give them somthing to eat. All ok on Sams Creek.
Fr5i. 27- Lish at work. Benton gone to Kingston. Juliius on Sams Creek. Julius come home. monrow Lovell stiad all night. Lish dun cutting logs for Clarks. Paid John Greer 40cts 1/2 bushel meal.
Sat. 28- Lovell gone home. Fowler come over. Egbert Riggan gone home. Hot 97 today. Ewing at work. Preaching at Sams Creek. Herman Riggan Fowler staid all night. Butler and Riggan went to Sams Creek. Started at 8 oclock at night. Got home at 11 oclock.
Sun. 29- Went to Sams Creek. All night at Mrs. Riggan. Lish and Delpha Butler went to Nashville and back. All ok on Sams Creek.
Mon. 30- At Rusteys adn Dick Hoopers. Seen John Hooper and famly. Eat dinner at Charley Lovells in the hilss 1/2 day. All night at Charley Lovells.
Tue. 31- In the woods allo day and come home. Paid me 2.00 dollars 50cts. So this ends the month of August 1909.
