Fri 1- Me and Mary bey our selves. We was bey our selves last night. Boys still out. John Greer hear today. Benton come home from the show. Clover and thimothy burnt up bey the railroad company to day. The 12:40 set it a fire. It is still a fire. Allso the Red Tope. Damage 150 dollars. Julius come home.
Sat. 2- Went to Kingston. Mr. Hanks hear to day. Mr. Childres hear to day. Thomis and McClan hear today. Julius went to the match. Lost out. Benton come home Saturday.
Sun. 3- No bodey hear to day. Ewing gone to Sams Creek. Allso Benton.
Mon. 4- Went to Kingston. One twist tobaco 10cts, coffie meal 50cts, peper box and salt box 20 cts, oil cts. Total 1.00 Paid cash. Julius went to Sams Creek. Rustey shod the mule. Gone to the show.
Tue. 5- Halled wood. At home all day. Went to Pegrams Sta.
Wen. 6- Halled wood. Ritchardson hear to day. Put in clame today.
Thur. 7- Went to Sams Creek. Staid all night at Dick Hoopers. Paid Pad Jordan for Lish 3.00 dollars. Tom Brown 1.00 dollar, Boy Crouch 30cts, Dick Hooper 5.00 dollars, Julius 25cts, Frank Owens 70cts and spent 50cts of Benton Hoopers money.
Fri. 8- Come home. Larkins come home. Staid all night, paid Moore 10 dollars today
bey Julius. Bought of Moore 50cts coffee. Paid cash. Paid Ewing 5.00 dollars. Butler went with me to Sams Creek and back.
Sat. 9- Ewing come home and Riggan come with him. Cool today. High wind today. Larkins gone home. Seen a man going to Nashville today to have his leg cut off. That will be the last of him I think.
Sun. 10- At home all day. Cool today. O brine and family at Clarks.
Mon. 11- Dun nothing all day. Julius went to Sams Creek.
Tue. 12- The same all day. Went to Kingston. Bought of Moore 10lbs meat. Paid cash.
Wen. 13- Pulled corn. One for Ewing one for Clabe. Ben Hale and Eck Hooper hear to day. All so Olie Butler and Sam Colvin.
Thur. 14- Olie Butler staid all night. Went to Nashville me and Sam Colvin. Raind hard to day.
Fri. 15- Went to- No I did not go from home. Andrew Hudgins and son come over. Got his dog. Jo Jackson burried today. Julius went to Sams Creek and come back.
Sat. 16- Went to mill. Benton come home all so Ewing come home.
Sun. 17- Benton and Julius and Ewing gone to Sams Creek. Julius come back. Andrew Hudgins staid all night hear. Jo Hooper and John come to see me. Allso Jim Wilson and two more men.
Mon. 18- Went to Kingston. Bought of Moore oil 15cts. Paid cash. 2 lbs nails 8cts. owe for. Julius went to Nashville. Staid at Dock Doziers. Hudgins got drunk. Helped Clark Brothers about 3 hours. Julius come home.
Tue. 19 – I am rong. Helped Clark today and Julius come home today. Cloudey to night. Court going on at Ashland this week.
Wen. 20 – Raind to day. Helpt Clark Brothers 4 hours. Frank Hannah hear today. Julius caught a opossum last night. He made ties today. Jim Mays got beat in his law suit so I heard to day. Seen Lon Liles Monday. I was glad to see him. He is a good man.
Thur. 21- Pulled corn all day for Benton. All so Georg Thomson. Dock Dozier come over today. Julius makeing ties. Butler the same. Benton on Sams Creek cutting ties. Ewing on Sams Creek cutting ties. Mrs. Butler hear today. Sam Gordons boy hear to day.
Fri. 22- Pulled corn for Benton all day. Julius made ties him and Butler. No letter from lish. Benton on Sams Creek all so Ewing. Boath makeing ties so I hear.
Sat. 23- Ben Hale, Herman Riggan, Juel Fowler, Eck Hooper staid all night. Ewing come home Benton come home. Asa Dozier staid all night.
Sun. 24- Bill Kellam died this morning. Droped dead so I hear. Went to Furbeys. Will Lampley come over to day. I was not at home. Juel Fowler hear to night. Benton at home. Mrs. Clark sick. Tom Dunn and Allice at Erbie Clarks to day.
Mon. 25- Pulled corn. Sam Gordan made a wagon bed today.
Tue. 26- Pulled corn me and Ewing. All so Sam Gordon. Mrs. Butler hear to day mad as a wet hen. Benton shucking corn. Ewing and Butler gone to Kingston to night.
Wen. 27- Pulled corn 1/2 day. Troy sick. He come very near dieing. Jim Wilson and John Eatherly staid all night. Ed Clark come down. Sit till bed time. Troy better. Dr come to see Troy. Sam Gordon pulling corn to day.
Thur. 28- Pulling corn. Wilson gone to Dickson. I paid him too dollars this morning. Troy better to day. Benton working the road. Julius makeing ties. Eatherly gone home this morning.
Fri. 29- Went to Kingston. Paid Beard and West 5.05cts in full. Paid Ed Page 6 dollars. Bought of Moore 2.25 ct bacon, flour 85cts, coffee 50cts. Paid cash to Moore. Total 14.65cts, Ewing got dun building home today. Benton, Julius, Sam Gordon going to Nashville to night. Sam Gordon pulled corn all day. They worked the road 1/2 day. Sam Colvin hear to day. Mary got the tooth ache. Mrs. Clark sick to day. Frost and ice this morning and plentey of it. I owe Mary 2.00 dollars and will shure pay it.
Sat. 30- John Harper and famly staid all night. Benton, Julius come home from Nashville. Ewing went up Sams Creek and back.
Sun. 31- Ben Hale, George Gleavs, and Harry Newberry hear to day. Allso Lamply. Julius gone to Sams Creek. He has not come in yet. Went to Pegrams sta.November 1909
Mon. 1- Ed Beard hear this morning. Sam Gordon pulling corn. Julius come home last night from Sams Creek. Sam Colvin and Tom Hale hear today.
Tue. 2- Pulled corn all day. Warm to day. Stovealls boy sick. Ed Clark traded wagons with Sam Colvin yesterday. He give 2 dollars to boot. Mrs. Beasley better. Ewing went to
Kingston. Mary bought snuff 10cts.
Wen. 3- Squir Jackson Greer hear today. Lost some mollases. Sam Gordon pulling corn. Got a letter from Lish and wife. Warm to day. Woods afire all over the countey. Caught a rat in the trap this morning. Benton on Sams Creek. Mary sick, Swaped hogs with Ewing. Give 3 for 8.
Thur. 4- Sam Gordan got dun pulling corn today. Frank Allen hear today. 4lbs nails 19cts. Paid Cash. I made a good crop this year or the boys did. Ewing, Sam Gordon, Frank Hannah was the boys.
Fri. 5- Ewing gone to Nashville with a load of corn. Julius gon to Sams Creek. I went to
Kingston. Shelled a turn of corn. Some bodey stold a mule and sold it in Collumbia for 175 but got caught before he could get a way so I hear. Warm to day. All most hot. Clear to night.
Sat. 6- Julius went to mill all so Sam Gordon. Bought of Moore oil 15cts. Paid cash. Raind today very little. Ewing has not come in yet. Sam Colvin hear today. Jim Wilson all night. Julius and Sam come from mill. Cloudey to day. Ewing come from Nashville.
Sun. 7- Will McFrgeson and Will Lampley hear today. All so Sam Colvin. Julius and Ewing went to Sams Creek and back. Egbert Riggan married to Miss Cory Riggan
today. Mrs. Nannie Harper tried for slander before Esq. Tom Harris Friday November the 5 1909 so I hear but dont know how true it is. They sent old man Kenedey to jail last night so I hear. Poor old man. He has lived a hard life and from what I hear he has ben a bad man and lived a hard life. Weeked one. He is about 95 years old and sees the devils all the time. The way of the transgressor is hard in this life. What a man sowes that shall he reap in this life. Wilson gone home. Daisy Butler hear to night.
Mon. 8- Ewing and Sam Colvin gon to Sams Creek with 2 wagons load of corn. Erbie Clark hear this morning all so Sam Gordan. Warm to day. Well I will stop till night. Mary reading a novell. Benton come home at last from Sams Creek. Ewing come back from Sams Creek.
Tue. 9- Ewing and Colvin gon to Nashville today. Julius gon to Sams Creek. Benton at home. Raind to day. Old aunt Lucey Mathis col. buried yesterday at Bill Greers.
Wen. 10- Ewing come from town. Got a letter from Brown Hooper. Julius still on Sams Creek. Warm to day.
Thur. 11- Ewing and Benton going to Sams Creek. Cloudey to day. Julius come home allso Benton and Ewing.
Fri. 12- Ewing mooved off to day. I hope he will do well. Benton working the road. Julius gon to Sams Creek with Ewing to help him moove. Good bey Ewing. God bless you my boy all thrue life is my prair for you and yours my son. I hope you will lead a pure life.
Sat. 13- Ewing come and staid all night allso Juell Fowler.
Sun. 14- Ewing gone home. Julius gon Sams Ceek. Fowler at Butlers. I wish, well I want say it but some of them is a curse to the earth. Colvin all night.
Mon. 15- Julius halling ties him and Sam Colvin.
Tue. 16- Julius and Sam halled ties. Sam all night. Butler gone to Nashville. Went to
Kingston. Raind hard today. Eat dinner at Lampleys. Dave Pardue hear to day. The 12:40 burnt up all my clover and clover seed. Killed a hog to day.
Wen. 17- Julius and Sam halling ties. Sam all night. Jim Colvin come to see us today.
Benton hunting with Jim. He staid all night at Jess Hales him and Jim Colvin.
Thur. 18- Julis and Sam halling ties. Mrs. Butler and daughter and Sam Colvin staid all
night. Olie Butler mooving to day to Sams Creek.
Fri. 19- Julius got dun halling ties today. Olie Butler mooved today. Jack Work, Olie Butler hear to night. Benton, Jack, Olie and Julius gon to Bobe Gordons to night. Colvin gon home. Helpt John Greer kill a hog to day. Turning warm. We had 2 cold nights but turning warm to night.
Sat. 20- Butler gon home with his cow. Jack Work all night. Benton gon to Nashville today. Got a letter from Lela. Jerry Jackson and another man hear today.
Sun .21- Ed Harris and wife and Sindey Garland hear to day all so Jess Hale, Lampley, and Dick Bell col. hear to day, and Jack Work. In all 7. Train killed a hog to day. Warm summer weather today. Work gon home. Julius at home.
Mon. 22- Julius went to Sams Creek and back. Had Toney shad. Raind hard to day. Benton come home. Went to Kingston.
Tue 23- Ed Harris and Beech all night. Julius went to Sams Creek. Jess Brown paid me 10 dollars in full to day. Let Julius have one dollar. Julius all night at Bill Greers.
Wen. 24- Went to Brown Hoopers me and Ed Harris. Staid all night with Will Hunter. Had Buck shod. 80cts paid cash. Julius went to Nashville with Bill and John Greer. He staid all night ther.
Thur. 25- At Browns all day me and Harris. Staid all night with Earerin Hunter.
Fri. 26- Went to Frankling. Tole gate 20cts tobaco 10cts and 15cts. Total 45cts. Left
Frankling at 1/2 after 2 oclock and got home at 20 minuts to 8 oclock. Found all well. Mrs. Phelps died to day.
Sat. 27- Ed gon home. I went to Kingston. Paid Richardson 2.90 in full. Bought of Moore
shuggar 50cts coffee 50cts. Snuff 10cts from Page. Total 1.10. Paid cash. Total 4 dollars
to day. Mary reding a novell. Julius went to Sams Creek. Give to Benton 75cts. He paid
Frank Owens and I paid to Washington and he paid it back to me today. Paid Ben ale up in full today 1.40cts, Pack and Charley McCoy hear to day. Went to Pegrams Sta. today. Come back on the hand car. Sent off my report today.
Sun. 28- Max and Mary went to Clarks.
Mon. 29- Shucked corn. Buck Pack, Bill Pack, Ellick Bell, Ben Hale, Charley all night. Erb Clark and Ed set till bed time.
Tue. 30- Shucked corn me and Benton. Ben Hale gon home. The Pedler gone. Envelopes 60cts, tabaco 10cts, weel greece 20cts, nails 5cts. Total 95cts, so this day is the last of
November 1909. Warm and Plesant.
