January 1910

Sat. 1- Warm to day. Went to Kingston. Bought of Moore 1 bottle sloans liniment 25cts one box pills 25cts. Total 50cts. Julius and Benton halled wood today. Julius gone to Clarks. Benton gon to Bill Greers till bed time. Mary sick in bed. Clabe keeping house.
Sun. 2- At home all day. Julius went to Sams Creek and back.
Mon. 3- Julius gone to Sams Creek. Mary sick. Went to Dr. Liles. John Greer gon to Ashland. Wreck on the road. No bodey hurt so I hear. Went to Clarks. Sit till bed time.
Tie. 4- Bobe Paskel hear to day. Mary sick. Still keeping house. Tried a man at Kingston to day. Bound him over to the Curkett court so I hear for killing Ed Harrises yearling. Benton and Julius at home.
Wen. 5- Raind all day. Finch and Bill Duglas hear today. Julius made 2 pair of fire tongs today. One dollar. Mary some better today. Still raining to night.
Thur. 6- Cold and snowed all day. 4 inch snow on the ground and sleeted in the bargon. Cloudey to night and misting snow. Julius and Benton at home. Mary still sick. No bodey hear to day.
Fir. 7- Owe Dr. Liles $1.16 dollars due January 7th 1911. Cold and snow. Down to 8 degrees below zero so I hear. Julius gon to Sams Creek. Mary better. I am down in the back. Ed Clark and Herbert Clark come and sit till bed time.
Sun. 9- At home all day. Lampley come over. Julis out.
Mon. 10- Julius come home. Cold and snow on the ground. John Greer killed hogs to day. I went Kingston. Marke White Col. hear to day. Warmed his feet.
Tue. 11- Cold snow on the ground. julius gone to Bill Greer to sit till bed time. Mary ses he went to Clarks. Mary getting better allso Clabe getting better. Seen George MrQuary yesterday at Kignston. Benton not well.
Wen. 12- At home. Halled wood me and Julius. Snow on the ground. Julius went to Kingston. bought Ed Page tobaco 25cts.
Thur. 13- Raind 1/2 day. Julius gon to Sams creek. Not at home. Warm to day. Snow all gone or nearly so. The fence men working on the fence to day 1/2 day. Benton at home.
Fri. 14- Julius come home. Dun nothing all day. paskel all night at John Greers.
Sat. 15- Julius went to Sams Creek and back with Erbie Clark. Raind a little and sleeted some today. Bains boys hear to night. Sit till bed time. Mary still sick yet. Clabe keeping house and lame in the back and side.
Sun. 16- Julius went to Sams Creek and back. Raind to day. Erbe and Ed come down to day. Raining to night. All ok.
Mon. 17- Raind to day. Shelled turn corn. Benton sick, mary better.
Tue. 18- Raind hard 1/2 day. Got a letter from Lish.
Wen. 19- Julius went to Sams creek and back. 2 shoes on Toney 40cts. James Fulghams boy borned yesterday the 18th 1910. Mary had washing dun 35cts. Bound Jo Baker bound over to day. He failed to give bond and goes to jail.
Thur. 20- Went to Kingston and back. Riand nearly all day.
Fri. 21- Cold and snowing this morning. WIll stop till night.
Sat. 22- Halled wood 1/2 day. COld snow.
Sun. 23- At home all day. John Fulgham and Miss Appleton married to day, Julius went to Andrew Hudgens and back.
Mon. 24- Dun nothing all day but fix a boat and look for a sale.
Tue. 25- Me and Mary well. Julius gone to Sams Creek.
Wen. 26- Went to Kingston. bought of Ed Page one box cartridges 45cts file 15cts saw handles 25cts. Total 85cts. Egbert Riggan staid all night.
Thur. 27- Went to Nashville. Spent 59 cts. Owe Mary 1.35 cts. Staid all night at Dr. Jo Hoopers on Cedear Street.
Fri. 28- In Nashville. Staid all night at John Hoopes. Little John borrowed from Jim Wilson one dollar.
Sat. 29- Come home. Found all well. cold. The boys on Dog Creek had a fight so I hear and got drunk allso. But I dont know how true it is. Julius gone to Gordens.
Sun. 30- At home all day. Hubert Crouch come down. Staid all day. cold, Heavey frost. Julius gon to Sams creek.
Mon. 31- Cold heavey frost. A Mr. Trotter staid all night hear. so this is the end of the month of January 1910.
