Wen.1- Made boards all day me and Murphy. Benton and Newberry gon to Hickman county.
Thur. 2- Made boards all day me and Murphey. Julius gon to Sams Creek and come back. Bobe Osborn drowned so I heard today. Owen Hooper dead so I hear today. One bey one we are passing away.
Fri. 3- Made boards me and Murpehy. Erbie Clark went to Dickson. Benton come home. Jim Ritchardsons child dead.
Sat. 4- Worked half day me and Murphey. I went to the lodge. Charley Butler got in to night on the 6:30 at night.
Sun. 5- At home all day. Bill Jones, Newberry, Butler and familey hear today all so Sam Colvin. Still warm but some cooler.
Mon. 6- Made boards me and Murphey. Julius went to Nashville with Bill Greer and come home. Benton went to Sams Creek. Dick Hooper paid me five dollars on land by Benton Hooper.
Tue. 7- Benton come home. Me and Murphey made boards.
Wen. 8- Raind all day. Julius gon to Sams Creek. Went to Kingston. Bought from Ed Page one hatchett 50cts oil 15cts Total 65cts.
Thur. 9- Made boards and cut timber me and Murphy.
Fri. 10- The same me and Murphy and Benton. Clark brothers sold som cattle today. John Stump walked down the railroad today but nearer stopt to see me or spok to me, But I bair him no harm but hope he may enter the holy city of God. Wher all is peace and love. The boys gon up to Sam Calvins. Some cooler today. Frost and ice last night. Cloudy to night. Newberrys wife some better today. Sam Colvin hear today. Julius helpt the Clarks drive cattle.
Sat. 11- Went to the Woodman Lodge. Made a Modren Woodman. Spent ten dollars. Loand Harry Newberry 3 dollars Julius 4 dollars 75 cts. Raind all day. Bought from Page coffee one dollar tobaco 50cts snuff 10cts total 1.60cts.
Sun. 12- Julius gon to Sams Creek. I beleave ther is a reck today. Ed Harris hear today. Murphy all day. Cloudey all day to day.
Mon. 13- Made boards. Went Kingston after nails. Freight 25cts.
Tue. 14- Went to Sams Creek to see Mrs. Riggan. She is very low and come home. Benton made some ties.
Wen. 15- Mary gon to Sams Creek to see her mother. I am keeping house. Warm and prettie. Like summer.
Thur. 16- Keeping house. Patterson hear this morning. Warm.
Fri. 17- Julius gon to Sams Creek after Mary. Murphy gon. Bought one buckett from Ed page 65cts. Will stop till night. I wish W.P. Murphy well. I like him tho he is stranger to me. He is a good worker and a good bango picker and a honist man whitch is the noblist work of God. Warm today. Mary come home today. Brown gone home.
Sat. 18- The boys gon to Sams Creek. I went Dr. Liles this morning. Washingtons wife sick. She is the daughter of George Pegram. No bodey hear today. Me and Mary bey our selves.
Sun. 19- The boys come home in the rain. Raind all day. Turning cold. Mrs. Riggan no better. Murphy at Dick Hoopers at home.
Mon. 20- Julius gon to Sams Creek. Cold today. Snow and ice. John Keeton hear this morning to grind his ax. Court meets to at Ashland city. Full dockett on hand. Sale at Huttons. The widow Hutton. Plase on Buffalow Creek last Saturday the 18th 1911. Murphy come home allso Julius.
Tue. 21- Mrs Newberry gon to her fathers. Murphy gone. Tom a pedler, Percey Hooper, Newberry all night. Cold today and snowd. Ground frozed hard. Percy Hooper goneing to Oklahoma so he ses.
Wen. 22- Percy Hooper gon the morning. Tom hear. Cold, comminced covering the barn this eavening me and Julius. Julius fell thrur the barn but did not hurt him. I am glad. Cant do barn myself. James Stover come him and Newberry all night. Got a letter from Lish. One from Marthey and a card from some bodey I dont know.
Thur. 23- Cold. Ice one inch thick hear this morning. Only 3 days and I have lived one year in them 3 days. Newberry and Stover hear. Have not heard from Mrs. Riggan. Benton and Newberry gon to Jasper to work. Stover hear staid all night. Not heard from Mrs. Riggan.
Fri. 24- Cold. Ground harad frozed. I miss Benton bad. Well I will go to work covering the barn me and Julius. Mary had 26 little chickens hatched off. Cold for them. Got to meet Marthey Hooper in the morning. Marthey come today. Palmore brought her.
Sat. 25- Stover hear. Marthey going to Sams Creek. Stover going home. Julius halled a hog for Fulgham. I went to Dr. Liles. Got to go agane. Cloudey today and warm but cold this morning. Julius come home from Sams Creek. Mrs. Riggan better today. Marthey over ther.
Sun. 26- At home. Cloudey and some rain this morning. Soldiers went up on the trian this morning. Sam Colvin eat dinner hear today. Dunn hear today. Sold him some hogs. 2 at eleven dollars. Julius gon to Sams Creek. Warm to day. George Clark lost a mule to day.
Mon. 27- Cloudey this morning. Going to Mark hogs. Mary sold a setting of eggs to Mrs. Reader 50cts. Went to Kingston. Paid Jerry Jackson ten dollars bey J. Grimes. Bought of Harris coffee 50cts snuff 10cts tobaco 20cts oil 12cts sodey 5cts. Total 97 cts. Cash.
Tue. 28- Cut and marked hogs. Cut wood. John Greers cow had a calf. Julius worked for Clark brothers 1/2 day and halled a load of wood and cut wood. So it raind and snowed today the last day of February 1911 C.S. Hooper.
