Mon. 1- Pat Hooper come to see me. He lives at Newburn Tenn. Jim Stover come. Boath all night. Warm today.

Tue. 2- Went to John Hoopers on Pond Creek. Staid all night ther me and Pat. Went to Lee Garlands. Seen John King. Walter Sanders got his leg broke today. Benton come home from Sams Creek today. Big cold today.

Wen. 3- Big frost this morning. Cold. I come home. Eat dinner at Egbert Hoopers. Walked home. Herman no better. I made a misstake about a woman. I thought I know her but did not. She was a Pack maiden name was Daniel.

Thur. 4- Mary sold some chickens to day. 33 cts a peace. Benton gon this morning. Julius plowing. John Dillingham staid all night him and Stover. Jess Woodeard wife col. died.

Fri. 5- Dillingham gon home. Let him have 1 barrell corn 3.00. Friday cold and frost this morning. Julius plowing. Dave Dorch alias Jim Lankford hung himself in jail in Dickson so I hear. Poor devil. He is dun with life hear. He was a bad man so I hear and a low down man.

Sat 6- Julius went to mill and plowed 1/2 day. Cool today. Olie Butler come over. Eat dinner hear allso his nephfew. I dun nothing all day. Olie went to Charleys. Allso Ervie. Ewing come home to night. Mary got tooth ache.

Sun. 7- Charley Butler and Stover and Cliff Butler eat dinner hear today. Ewing gon to Sams Creek to work. Seen Walter Osborn at Erbe Clarks. Stover hear tonight. Charley Work gone back to the army so I hear.

Mon. 8- Went to Kingston. Bought of Ed Page 1/2 bushel potatoes 50cts, Sack, Jim Stover had a chill. Cool today. Stover in bed. Sallie Hudgins hear yesterday. all so Jeff.

John Greer sick. Spights wife died Saturday the 6th of May 1811 in Nashville and was burried before he knowed any thing about it. She died at Dr. Browers infermary. Wen. 10- Hoeing potatoes. Benton makeing ties for Hale. Julius plowing. Warm today at 12 oclock. No news today. Getting dry. Kneed rain. Fulton gone home.

Thur. 11- Minnie and the children hear. Warm today.

Fri. 12- Ewing Hooper, Jess Young, Less Young, Tom Lemmonds, Jim Stover hear all night. Warm hot and dry.

Sat. 13- Ewing and family, stover, Jess young, Less young Tom Lemmonds hear all night agan. Jim Pegram married Tuesday April the 9th 1911. Went to the lodg modern woodman. Minnie and the children gon.

Sun. 14-All gon but Stover. Still dry. No rain. Ed Harris hear toay. Eat dinner hear. Julius went to Sams Creek. Halled a waggon load of folds over ther. Mike Vicks babey died Tuesday 9th 1911 so I hear. Will stop for this day.

Mon. 15- Stover hear. Went to Pegrams Sta me and stover. Dun nothing all day. Warm and dry. Need rain. Spent 10cts for Mary today. Seen John Greer and Bill. Herman Riggan very low. No better. Sorry for him.

Tue. 16- Stover gon to South Harpeth to fish. Still dry.

Wen.17- Warm today. Fulton staid all night. Went to mill. Julius went to Sams Creek. Had the mule shod.

Thur. 18- Fulton gon. Stover come. Mary washed yesterday 50cts.. Bill Greer and Lizey Murphey hear yesterday. Eat dinner hear.

Fri. 19- Stover gon home. Tom Jordan and Pardner hear today. Raind some at 1/2 after 12 oclock. Went Kingston. Bought of Ed Page coffee 1.00 dollar. Sam Colvin hear to day. Julius gon to Sams Creek. Hot and dry. 90 today 92 yesterday.

Sat. 20- Ewing come home. All so Julius. Herman Riggan no better. Dr. Bagwell died Friday May the 19th 1911. I went to the lodge.

Sun. 21- Dr. Bagwell burried today. John Kellam hear to day. Raind some today. Charley a pedler staid all night Friday night. Helpted dig a grave today. Large crowed at the burring. A white man cut bey a negro at the crucher so I heard. Blacks child sick so I heard. Raining some this eavening. Ewing come in.

Mon. 22- A tramp staid allnight. He sed his name was Fuller. Julius mooved Ewing to Sams Creek. Raind some to day. George Clark and son ate dinner hear today. Planting corn. Benton sick to day. Hot and dry yet. No news today.

Tue. 23- Hot today. Planting corn. River up past fording. Clark hear to day. Raind some to day. Very little. Chane broke.

Wen. 24- Clark planted corn till 12 oclock. Paid him six dollars. Hot and dry. Claud Crouch come to see us. Sit till bed time.

Thur. 25- Sam Colvin gon home Benton fon to Kingston. Julius plowing. Mary washing. Clabe doing nothing. Two lazy to work. Hot and dry. Benton fishing. Caught nothing. Got a letter from Stover.

Fri. 26- Julius plowing. Erbie Clark gon to Nashville to buy sheep. Benton fencing. Clabe pattering a round doing nothing. But it is hard work. Cook, milk, get stove wood. Do nothing all day but pull grass hoe in the garden. Fred, toat water, go to the mail box in fact do nothing all day so I WILL QUIT. 94 today.

Sat. 27- Planted corn me, Julius, and Benton. Got done planting. Hot 95 today. No rain today. Clark come home. Herbert Clark gone to Nashville today. I wen to mill.

Sun. 28- At home. Went up to Clarks. Benton went to Pond Creek. Big croud ther. One thousand people so I hear was ther. garrett Harpers babey died today and was burried. Hot 95 tpday. No rain. No bodey hear today.

Mon. 29- Hot 95 today and dry. Need rain bad. Went to Kingston. Give a fiftey dollar bank note due Sept. the first 1911.

Tue. 30- I am 66 years old to day and am well and hartey. I went thrue the confederate armey. Was payrolde at Ganesville Alabamey May the 10th 1865. Come home and married September the 27th 1865. Ben happy eaver sence. Worked hard all my life. Got no grudg a ganst no man or woman on earth. I have all ways tride to live that way. Benton makeing ties to day. No mail today. Jeff Hudgins hear today. Julius gon to Sams Creek. Owe Mary 10cts.

Wen. 31- Julius on Sams Creek. Benton at work. Sam Colvin hear today. Got a letter from Lish. Mary sold chickens 4 dollars and 36cts.
