Fri. 1- Dun nothing today but pidle, Went to the burring.
Sat. 2- Went to Kingston and back. Doin cooking tonight. All at home.
Sun. 3- Ewing and Troy come over. Staid all night.
Mon. 4- Julius and Murphey gon to Sams Creek. Cold this morning. Boath sows and pgs. 5 and 6 a peace. Cold today. Dun nothing all day.
Tue. 5- Dun nothing all day. Lazey. Cold. Down in the back.
Wen. 6- Cold this morning. Benton at work. John Woodard col. sick. Agees babey borned Monday the 4th 1911.
Thur. 7- Julius and Murphey come home from Sams Creek. Dun nothing all day. Mumps at Tom Works.
Fri. 8- Benton, Julius and Murphey worked the road today. Crouch, Claude and Sam Gordan and his 2 boys hear tonight. Sit til bedtime.
Sat. 9- Cloudey this morning. At home. Went to Kingston me and Murphey. Ed page went to Ashland today.
Sun. 10- Julius and Murphey went to Sams Creek. Raind today from 12 till night and all night. Mon. 11- Went to Kingston. Sent the Democrat 1.35 cts. Raind all day. Ed Clark hear today.
Tue. 12- Raining this morning. Hard rain all day.
Wen. 13- I went to Lampleys. Eat dinner ther. Benton at work. Julius and Murphey on Sams Creek cutting logs.
Thur. 14- Raind today. I went no wher. At home all day.
Fri. 15- Raind all day. Julius on Sams Creek allso Murphey.
Sat. 16- Went to mill. Cool this morning. Julius come home.
Sun. 17- I wen to Clarks. Julius went to Sams Creek. Cool.
Mon. 18- Frost this morning. Good hog killing weather. Going to Fix to kill hogs. Plentey of ice. Julius come home last night. Fixed to killed hogs.
Tue. 19- Killed hogs today. John Hudgins and Charley helpte me kill and cut out.
Wen. 20- Salted meat and dryed off lard. Henry Houton and wife helpted me and Mary. Went to Kingston. Bought of Lee Dunn one tub 25cts. Worked hard all day me and Houton, Mary and wife. Raind today. Lish sent me a quart of pure corn whiskey to day. The first I have see in 10 years. It was shure fine and dun me a heap of good for my feet was wet and I kneed it shure as you are borned.
Thur. 21- Eck Riggan come from the mountains today. Made sausages to day or ground it up. Raind to day. Worked all day.
Fri. 22- Got thrue with the hog killing jobe today. Riand all day. Julius gon to Sams Creek him and Riggan. I went to clarks and Fulghams today. Broke 2 plates.
Sat. 23- Wet this morning. Riand 3 days this week. Sun. 24- Julius went to Sams Creek and back. Ewing hear. Codey Hooper and George Ramer come down on the 3.10. Staid all night. Glad to see them. All quite. Raind today. Wet and Mudey all over the countey.
Mon.25- Hooper and Ramer hunted 1/2 day and went home on the 8 oclock train at night.
Tue. 26- Raining hard this morning. Ther is plentey of water and will be big rivers I think. 12 oclock and raining hard. 8 oclock at night the river is higher than eaver was known hear bey the oldest men in this part of the countey. Drowned some cattle for Dr. Liles and a cow for a man on his farm on Brush Creek. A negro shot in a fight today so I hear.
Wen. 27- River falling but out in the bottoms yet. Cacey and Adams at the bridge at work. Turning cold today. River out on the bottoms yet. Cold to night butwet and mudey.
Thur. 28- Went to Kingston. Bought a pair of boots from Jim Ritchardson. Ed Harris hear today. Cool today Ground frozed this morning. Julius gon to Andrew Hudgins all so John. Shooting match at Kingston today for turkey. Mary missing. Will look her up. Benton at work. Erbe Clark killing hogs today so I hear. Harris gon home. Getting cloudey this eavening. Snowed some this morning but very little. All quite today.
Fri. 29- Dun nothing all day. Dick Hooper and Ewing, John Kellam staid all night. Raind at night. Warm.
Sat. 30- Dick, Ewing, Kellam, Charley Hale staid al night. Raind all day. Dun nothing all day. Julius went to Kingston. Sun. 31- River riseing fast. The boys gone home. Julius went to Hales stiad all night ther I recon. Crouch come sit til Bed time. Turning cold today. So this is the last day of the year 1911.
