Mon. 1- Clear and cold today. Benton helpeing Clark brothers. Julius out. Clabe doing nothing but must hall some wood. No mail today.

Tue. 2- Shelled corn but neaver went to mill.

Wen. 3- At home all day. Cold today. Doing nothing.

Thur. 4- Cut some stove wood, Cold today. Julius out.

Fri. 5- Julius at home. Cut more stove wood. Cold, Cold, Cold.

Sat. 6-Went to mill. Cold snow on the ground and snowing. Egbert Riggan come staid allnight. Julius gon to Hales or I think he ahs. Charley Hale hear today.

Sun. 7- Cold this morning. Zero. Snow 5 inches deep. Julius out. Riggan hear today. Press Jordan col. died last Sunday the 31st of December 1911. Jim Riggan went below Ashland yesterday the 6th. 

Mon. 8- Riggan went to Nashville and back. Cold snow on the ground and snowing.

Tue. 9- Cold snow on the ground and snowing.Julius and Riggan gone to Sams Creek.

Wen. 10- Cold, Snow on the ground and sleet.

Thur. 11- Cold, snow, zero this morning. Julius on Sams Creek. Halled wood.

Fri. 12- Cold, Snow and sleet. Julius come home. Si Thornton hear and gone.

Sat. 13- Cold snow on the ground. Tramp hear.

Sun. 14- Cold snow on the ground. Julius gone to Sams Creek and back. Charley Lamlpley and son come to see us.

Mon. 15- Codl this morning. Allmost zero I think. Snow and ice all over ground. Bitter cold.

Tue. 16- Cold snow on ground but turning some warmer.

Wen.17- Snow on the ground. Cold and cloudey. Went to Chess Taylors store. 1 box snuff 10cts. Tim Murphey col. died this morning at 7 oclock. George Woodards child died. Died today at Pegrams Station. Turning warm.

Thur. 18- Cloudey this morning and warmer. Sam Gordon hear yesterday. Went to Kignston. Raind har to day. Sam Gordan hear today. Julius halled some hay.

Fri. 19- Cold this morning. Sleet and snow on the ground. Sallie hear today Julius gone. Benton at work.

Sat. 20- Zeak Hale. Charley Hale, Garner Hale, Baxter Hale hear today. Eat dinner hear. Glad to see them. Julius gone hunting. Cold this morning. Snow and ice today on the ground. Mary gon to Hudgins. Benton shaveing. Clabe doing nothing. Looking for Dick Hooper to come over today. Hope he will come over to see us. Would be glad to see him. Will stop till night. Dick Hooper neaver come and Julius did not come home.

Sun. 21- Agee, Cliff Butler hear today. Cliff gone home. Cold and clear today. Plentey of ice. Ground frozen. Julius out on Sams Creek at Dick Hoopers. Benton out. Julius come home from Sams Creek. No news from ther.

Mon. 22- At home all day. Halled wood me and Julius. Benton at work.

Tue. 23- Julius makeing ties. allso John and Charley. Dun nothing all day.

Wen. 24- Went to Taylors store. Coffee 90cts tobaco 30cts snuff 10cts matches 10cts.

Thur. 25- Clear today and warm. Jabo hear today. John Greer went to Dickson today. Clark working on the fill. Riggan come staid all night. Hung up meat today.

Fri. 26- Warm today. Riggan gon home. Hudgins cutting ties. Julius went to the partey at Nick Baleys tonight. I got stove wood. Benton at work in the thickett. Pack lost 400 dollars last night in Nashville in a dire. He paid for his foolishness and got arrestted. What a man sows that he shall reap. If he dont stop he will die in the poore house someday with out a frend.

Sat. 27- Had Toney shod. 2 shoes. Julius gon. Seen Mrs. Butler to day. She was going to Charleys her son so she sed.

Sun. 28- At home all day. Julius come home. Cold. Cloudey.

Mon. 29- At home. Bought of Taylor coffee 90cts snuff 20cts tobaco 30cts. Cold rain today.

Tue. 30- A tramp staid all night on Sunday Jan the 28. He sed his name was Clemmans but I think he was a thief. Cold. I went to mill. Cold snow.

Wen. 31- At home. Julius at Hales at work. Benton at work on the thickett. Hudgens cutting ties.
